Two pretty amazing bands from the former Yugoslavia.

This Croatian band has had a long history, with a varied line up that at one time boasted one of the members of A Seven that Spells.
The core duo play Psych-styled freakout space instrumentals with ballsy driving bass-lines, and tight energetic drumming.  Using samples of keyboards/synth to create a carnival or almost gypsy styled music reminiscent of surf bands of 50’s Americana, with a hint of space related sci-fi  similar to 35007, ManOrAstroman, and adding to that a touch of zeuhl from Guapo. However their delivery is extremely raw, and is less theatrical.  This isn’t a bad thing as the  lack of polish or lustre, just makes the songs more compelling.  Excellent stuff all round
